Working with Kier, under the ‘SCAPE’ framework for North Somerset Council. This project was carried out over 42 weeks which was delivered on time and in budget.

Works consisted of the construction of the entrance road, new car park, a single storey 4 classroom extension that also included admin facilities and the construction of a traditional build kitchen extension. Co-ordination of deliveries and communication with the school were vital in safe and effective traffic management, given the restricted access to the site entrance from a very busy lane.

Deliveries were given strict delivery time slots, they adhered to, as not to interfere with busy school periods. TPS Construction went one step further and were able to present to the school children, in a school assembly, a ‘Health and Safety talk,’ highlighting the risks, dos and don’ts on construction sites to make the children aware of the potential dangers. This led to the children entering a safety poster competition, with the top 5 chosen posters displayed on the site hoarding for all children, parents and staff to see.
