Construction activities are inherently noisy and on the occupied school site this can be particularly disruptive. In order to keep to the project programme, TPS Construction liaised with the school to arrange all the ‘noisy’ work (drilling activities) to be scheduled for the weekend when the school is unoccupied.

Within the school setting and extremely tight space, the provision of safe routes for vehicles and pedestrians was essential.

Contractor traffic and school traffic routes were kept completely separate at all times that was displayed in the traffic management plan.
