Refurbishment of an existing toilet block, installation a new aluminium façade, minor electrical works, extension of an existing external staircase and installation of a wheelchair platform lift, replacement of internal doors and 50m2 of rubber crumb safety service.

The works were traditional in nature and include but are not limited to the construction of new foundations and steps to lower yard, main Services and drainage connections, mechanical and electrical installation, floor, wall and ceilings finishes and landscaping.

The internal refurbishment works had to be complete within the 6-week summer holidays in order for the school to re-open and be operational for September.

This meant that the planning stage of this contract was crucial in getting materials and orders in place early enough so it wouldn’t affect programme.
